Why is the open house after the year has started?
This August is unique in that many local families and eight of our K-6 staff have spent the last week at the International Pathfinder Camporee out in Gillette, Wyoming. Many are still traveling back early this week. As our administration made plans and realized so many would be short on time leading up to the start of the year, we began to look at the schedules of other large SDA schools and found that many have an Open House a few days into the school year.
What can you expect at the K-6 Open House?
It will be about a week into our school year, your child will be settled into their space and will have the opportunity to be the tour guide and show-off their new classroom and teacher.
Is your child new to SVA this year?
You should have already heard from their teacher with their email contact information. If you would like to schedule a quick drop by to say hello on Monday, or Tuesday this week I encourage you to reach out to them.
Can’t make it to the Open House but you would like to meet your child’s teacher?
Reach out to your child’s teacher and set up an appointment to drop by and say hello. I know they are eager to meet you too!
