Spring Valley Academy, a Seventh-day Adventist K-12 Christian school, is dedicated to nurturing students in a personal relationship with God, developing academic excellence, and inspiring service to others. Since its founding in 1968, Spring Valley Academy has focused on the education of the whole student, with emphasis on academics and college preparation combined with opportunities for service, development of talents and abilities and an environment focused on a relationship with Jesus. Spring Valley Academy is accredited by the Ohio Department of Education, The Middle States Association of College and Schools and the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Board of Regents.
Spring Valley Academy provides quality education in three divisions for students:
Elementary school, grades K-6
Junior High, grades 7-8
High school, grades 9-12
Enrollment currently exceeds 500 students, and the teacher to student ratio is 1:14.
In 1990, Spring Valley Academy became part of the State of Ohio auxiliary services program. Limited services are offered in the areas of psychological testing, speech and language diagnosis, counseling, school nursing, and tutoring.
The school is owned and operated by the Ohio Conference of Seventh-day Adventist and is supported by four Seventh-day Adventist constituent churches: Beavercreek, Centerville, Kettering, Miamisburg and one constituent organization/entity: Kettering Health.
Although SVA is a parochial school operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, students of all religious faiths are welcomed as a part of the school family, and their positive contributions to the school are appreciated.
