Funds, Trusts and Projects
Annual Fund
Annual fund contributions improve every aspect of campus life. Your unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund directly support students, teachers, programs and school facilities. These funds are applied to the most pressing campus needs and help offset operation costs.
SVA has been blessed with an increased enrollment over the past several years. More students means that facilities, equipment and programs must keep pace with the size of the student body. The Annual Fund gives administration and the Board of Trustees the flexibility necessary to address these needs as they arise, and to continue to provide the high quality of education to which Spring Valley Academy is committed. Student Assistance Funds
The EdChoice scholarship program from the state of Ohio has made an SVA education a possibility for many students who would otherwise be unable to attend.
While EdChoice helps to make an SVA education affordable to many of our families, extra-curricular activities fall outside of the scope of what those funds cover, and things like music lessons, instrument rental, sports fees, educational/mission travel, etc. end up being beyond some of our families’ capabilities.
Through the generous support of our community, SVA endeavors to make these vital educational opportunities available to all students through the following funds:
- Extra-Curricular Activity Fund – Our students have the opportunity to join many different extra-curricular activities to enrich their educational experience. Whether they are in musical groups, on sports teams, giving back through campus ministries, leading in student council, or ministering through mission trips, SVA students learn as much outside of the classroom as they do within. Because those opportunities are so important, we need your help to make them available to students from all socio-economic backgrounds.
- Low-income Lunch Fund – SVA provides qualifying students free lunch, and that program carries with it a significant cost to SVA each year. A gift to this fund helps to ensure no child is hungry during the school day.
- Worthy Student Fund – We believe that no child who wishes to attend SVA should be denied the opportunity based on lack of finances. We work with families who exhibit need beyond their EdChoice scholarship to ensure their children are able to attend.
