Spring Valley Academy’s art department is directed by Mrs. Shona Macomber, encourages each student’s creative expression through the medium of Ceramics I & II, Photo & Design, and Art I-IV.

Upon entering the Art room one can readily appreciate the skylights affording natural light for the student artist. This is just one example of how the art department has been designed to enhance artistic energy. Beyond just learning how to create art using the elements and principles of art, the organizational concepts of visual literacy is studied.

Over the years, the art department has enjoyed Art Tours (traveling nationally and internationally) and promotes a Spring Art Show featuring Grades K-12 students’ talent and creativity.
