Building and Student Security
The following steps are taken each day to make sure that Spring Valley Academy students are safe:
- All exterior doors are locked throughout the school day.
- All visitors must be “buzzed in” to the main entrance and then enter at the front office and sign in.
- All visitors have state ID scanned by the School Pass Visitor Management system, photo taken and visitor badge printed.

- All visitors must wear a visitor badge while on school grounds.
- All students in grades 7-12 are expected to visibly wear their ID badge so that they can be identified as an SVA student.
- Students are managed through the School Pass app at dismissal to ensure students and approved pick-up drivers are united by a staff member.

- Video cameras monitor and record throughout the building both during the school day and during after school activities.
- Classroom doors remain closed and locked when students are present.
- All classroom doors are equipped with a Nightlock Lockdown device in case of emergency.

- Mirrored film has been applied to entrance doors and windows, to obscure student activity within.
