So what does a typical school day look like for students at SVA? 

Our school day starts at:

8:15 am for grades K-5
8:00 am for grades 6-12

and ends at:

(Mon-Thurs)
2:50 pm  –  Grades K-2
3:00 pm  –  Grades 3-5
3:14 pm  –  Grades 6-12

(Friday)
2:25 pm –  Grades K-2
2:35 pm  –  Grades 3-5
2:45 pm –  Grades 6-12

Those riding the Centerville school bus will continue with the same Monday-Thursday schedule on Fridays. K-5 students should be in classrooms by 8:00 am.

In High School, six credits are considered a normal class load. Students may have no more than two study hall periods a day unless approved by the Academic Standards Committee. To be a member of any class, a student must have the following required minimum unit credits at the beginning of the year:

Seniors: 18 credits
Juniors: 12 credits
Sophomores: 6 credits

Our junior high schedule features a diverse range of courses that varies to best prepare students for an even more rigorous high school curriculum.
